FLASH! We Interrupt This Series…

We have been discussing for several weeks the New Testament church, what it is and its purpose and function in the world today—always, I am sure, eliciting many varied and controversial views. As we have done so, another of God’s kingdom-extending institutions, the civil government, has continued to make news, also with much controversy attached. 

I woke up this morning with some new thoughts about our current political situation that I believe are worthy of discussion. After reading this, if you want to talk about it, I would love to see any comments you may have—pro or con. It has been no secret that I have been an enthusiastic Donald Trump supporter, believing that God has raised him up, a unique man, perfect for leading us as a nation in such a time as this. However, he is far from the man possessing the mature character we would like to see in our president. The temptation is to think that any of the great, historical leaders of  our faith, (such as Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Peter, Paul, etc.) we feel would be more qualified to lead us than Trump. 

However, each of these “mighty men of God” possessed one or more of the following negative character traits. Let’s compare Trump, along with these biblical leaders, to these qualities and see  how they stack up: arrogance, lying, deceit, ambition, self-promotion, cowardice, abdication of family leadership, adultery, and murder.

After a careful analysis of each man, it looks like Trump fits right in with God’s biblical leaders—weak in some areas and strong in others.  The calling of God (on those whom He chooses to lead nations) is not dependent on their external righteousness. God is after their hearts in the process, and is maturing them, step by step, just as he is doing with each of us. 

When God raises up a man to a difficult, demanding task such as President, it is the Pharisee in us that drives us to disqualify this man based on unpleasant personality, style or irritating habits. That may be a reason for not being best friends, but to reject as president? Trump convinced me to follow him as our leader by his faithfulness to keep his promises, his obvious concern for the wishes of “we the people,” his fealty to life for the unborn, and finally, his lack of deceit in who he is–“what you see is what you get.”  

Just as He raised up Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama (not all presidents I would have chosen!) for His own inscrutable purpose, God has raised up Trump. I want to learn to say, “Yes, Lord!” instead of “Why, Lord?” to God’s actions

Trump drives the Democrats and Never Trumpers crazy  because they can’t seem to get rid of him, and they know, to win their end game, they must. They thought that Hillary Clinton would beat him in 2016, and they did not prepare for Trump to win, Surprise, Surprise! Trump won!

I believe they resolved to never let that happen again, and, unbeknownst to a sleeping America (and a blind and sleeping church), they began immediately to prepare for 2020. Deliberately lying (the dossier and FISA court warrants), Russia collusion investigation, two attempts at Impeachment, and various and sundry unproven, baseless charges later, Trump remained standing, bloody, but unbowed! 

By the time of the 2020 election, the Democrats were prepared. Extra precautions were readied in the 5 or 6 swing states, and they were set for any eventuality. Investigations into election fraud are currently underway, against incredible opposition, to expose their master plan to throw the election. I imagine we will eventually discover that several million votes were switched fraudulently, more than enough to swing the election from a Trump victory to a Biden one.

This is not like your old time Democrat-Republican disagreements, as between Kennedy-Nixon and Goldwater-Johnson, where there was undoubtedly some voting fraud on a much smaller scale  (i.e. Kennedy-Nixon).  But none of those political competitors wanted to tear down America as we know it, to do away with freedom of speech and religion, and the freedom to have a gun. Make no mistake, that is the ultimate goal of today’s progressive Democratic Party, as they attempt to change the Constitution. Obama honestly told us when he was first elected that He was going to “Fundamentally change America.” We all cheered, because we could not even imagine what he meant. Now we know.

Years ago, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the long-time head of our CDC, developed a relationship with the Chinese government, as did many of our leaders, while China grew (we thought innocently) from a backward communist country to an emerging, powerful nation. I am sure this relationship was in response to China’s lavish “incentives,” which they are want to give American politicians and bureaucrats. 

Eventually, along the way, biological warfare was introduced with Fauci at the head, financing for China the gain-of-function ability of the Corona Virus, and then its eventual release and spread throughout the world.

Voila! We suddenly have the free nations, including the U.S.A., with whom China is in direct competition, crippled economically, militarily and morally. We find ourselves debilitated by fear of a virus that is proving to be much less deadly than anticipated. Nevertheless, we have been left susceptible, as never before, to the invasion of “new ideas” that “will save us,” such as the Critical Race Theory of Marxism.

Yes, this is a “conspiracy theory,” because this is a conspiracy!—not between powerful men like the Rothschilds, George Soros, etc, against America, but between Satan and all his virulent, anti-Christian henchmen-leaders against God Himself.  “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us’” (Psalm 2:1-3). 

This is the perfect prophetic picture of what Satan and his emissaries are doing today in their desperate attempt to delay the time when Satan’s defeat at the cross is finalized! Next week we will see how God’s “First Responders” are the weapons that He is using to make that defeat an experiential reality.
