Hallelujah! As I watched the election returns coming in last night, I realized my heart was filled with an unexpected
joy. I had been telling myself and others that either way the results turned out, I would be happy, as I know God is “Ordering all things after the council of HIS will” (Ephesians’ 1:11.
However, in my heart, I was hoping that God had not moved on from the original motivating vision He had placed in the hearts of the colonial founders of our country This was the vision of a “City on a Hill,” that would be the model for the nations of rest of the world over whom King Jesus rules, according to the Law of God.
Yesterday’s election was an indication, at least to me, that no, He’s not through with us as a nation yet! I believe Donald Trump is a flawed human-being, just as were George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but totally unique, as were Washington and Lincoln. He, too, is prepared, now experienced, and obviously, unstoppably determined in his mission—just as were they!
He is naturally, spontaneously and unconsciously (NSU) fulfilling the unique calling God has for him. Two attempts on Trump’s life; unending, trumped-up lawfare threatening jail for the rest of his life; two impeachments; and the vitriolic, scurrilous attacks of ⅓ of the nation cannot deter him. He is an indefatigable warrior who WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!
We too have unique callings, and we are learning to have the same attitude as our president-elect, in our own unique settings—”Fight! Fight! Fight!” I want to heighten our self-awareness in that learning process. We are learning to see ourselves more clearly so we can be fully biblical as WE learn to Fight! Fight! Fight!” Simultaneously, we must know and remember clearly, as we have discussed in these postings, who our enemies are in order to be effective as we fight. Next week!
